Artisticly styled documentary about a dramatic period in the history of Western Ukraine and Western Belorussia - the reunification of Eastern and Western Ukraine in a single state captured on film by the famous Ukrainian master-director. Made by eyewitnesses, the documentary (historical chronicle) is dedicated to the entry of Soviet troops into the territory of Western Ukraine and the release of the Ukrainian and Belarusian lands from the oppression of Polish gentry and the reunification of the people in one family. Unique footage of the destruction during the battle for Kiev in 1939, houses, the main railway station and St. Elizabeth's palaces in Vyshnivtse ( Вишневце) and Drogovyzhe (Дроговыже), castles in the Mir (Мире) and Galich (Галич). It is hard to resist the charm of streets and squares of Lviv (Львова) at prewar times.
