KTOKOLWIEK WIE... / WHOEVER MAY KNOW (1966) is based on a magazine feature by Krzysztof Kakolewski, who also collaborated on the screenplay with Andrzej Mularczyk. The film's structure is quite similar to that of Orson Welles' CITIZEN KANE. The plot focuses on a missing girl who is never found and does not appear in the film a single time. A reporter gradually learns about her fate from the testimonies of a number of rural residents. It is they, uprooted and deprived of their homes, who become the film's collective protagonist.
