Epiosode 39 of the hugely successful German crime serial "Der Kommissar" which started 1969 by ZDF - more than 1 year before the ARD "Tatort" serial. Those were the days when there were just 2 (!) TV channels available in Germany, so every evening, you had to decide if you watched ARD or ZDF, meaning that either channel had about 10-15 million viewers each evening! "Der Kommissar" forced the ARD to create their own serial, but it was "Der Kommissar" that grow a cult following very soon, nearly 100 episodes were shot. Much of its success relied on author Herbert Reinicker and of course the main star Erik Ode, creating the role of his life in his prime days - he was long forgotten as an actor in Weimar and 3.Reich musicals in 1969, but the Germans just loved him in this role as a non violent cop who is smart enough to solve every murder case in 60 minutes. Many episodes were dealing with the clash of the nazi and the post war generation - this episode is a prime example about the atmosphere in Germany in the early 70´s. An old very wealthy man gets shot, as well as his restless son he was in love with a young carefree girl - she was a singer with a rock band and the members want to find out about the murder...
